He began his career in the U.S. Air Force\, where he served in key leadership roles and twice as a forward-deployed solo orthopedic surgeon\, including support of the Presidential Asia Tour in 2014. His military honors include the Curtis LeMay Top Graduate Award\, the Bronze Star\, and the Pacific Air Force Physician of the Year Award. He joined OPA in 2015 after leading the orthopedic department at JBER\, bringing extensive experience treating a wide range of orthopedic injuries.
